KHP Music Releases "Let's Dance Again...I Can't Get Enough!"

Well the folks at KHP Music have done it again!! "Let's Dance Again....I Can't Get Enough"
is the latest compilation release from KHP and it features three songs already on The Smokin' 45, including the current #
1!! There are also several other cuts on the CD that have been showing up on the Contributing DJ charts and could make their
way into chart land very soon!
Leading off the project is the sub title track "I Can't Get Enough", the brand new release
from Sea Cruz. Butch and Molly share the lead vocals on this Smokey Robinson cover. Next up is the current #1 smash on
The Smokin' 45, "I Don't Want Nobody" , from the late Ike Turner. What a coup for the folks at
KHP to grab this monster hit for their project! "I Don't Want Nobody" ascended to the top of the
charts a couple of months ago and appears to have a firm grip on the top spot!
Track #3 from the project is "Dissatisfied", from Richmond, Va. based blues man Kurt
Crandall, and on track #4, Steve Bassett and Janet Martin team up to give us the duet "If I Could Build
My Whole World Around You".
Track # 5 is the Holiday Band and their dance mix version of the classic "Sweet Caroline".
This is an excellent rendition of this song and one that I think will find its way onto the chart in short order. The Holiday
Band just keeps cranking out the hits!
Track #6 and 7 are two songs that are storming their way up the Smokin' 45! "Hip Swingin' Blues",
from Norfolk, Va. born and raised DieDra, debuted on the chart last month and currently sits at # 27 after moving up 11 positions.
This song is definitely Smokin' and is a HOT PICK on the chart. Another song that is absolutely on fire is "The
Older Woman" from Zac Harmon. This song debuted on the chart last month at # 41 and currently sits at # 18 after moving
up an incredible 23 positions! I first learned of this song from my buddy Neal "Soul Dog" Furr's "Southern Soul Corner, (by
the way, if you are not reading Neal's column and tracking down some of the music he writes about, you are missing out on
some killer tunes that fit and work extremely well in our market) and after hearing the song for the first time,
I told the "Soul Dog" that the song is a potential # 1 hit if enough of the DJ's could get it. Well now KHP Music has
taken care of that and with the song now being readily available, look for "The Older Woman" to
make a push toward the top of The Smokin' 45!
Canadian Mike Goudreau joins the array of hits on this compilation with his contribution "Why'd I
Drink So Much", a song that asks the question many of us ask after a night out at SOS!! LOL......Track # 9 "Without
Question" comes from Austin, Texas based Mingo Fishtrap, and is another coup for KHP on this project. This tune has
been showing up on some of the contributing DJ charts and could make its way onto the chart soon. Another song that has been
showing up on some charts is "Too Much Butt" from Saffire - The Uppity Blues Women. This song,
with its hilarious lyrics and infectious groove, is another tune from the project that could be on the chart soon. You definitely
need to check out "Too Much Butt".
One of my current favorite groups, The Swingin' Medallions, join in on the compilation with their
release of the James Brown shag classic "How Do You Stop". Medallions founder John McElrath recorded
his version of this tune several years ago, and it is great that KHP has decided to include this version
of the tune on their project. John McElrath is a true icon in our industry and now that the song is readily available, look
for it to make noise in the future.
Track #12 is a remix of "Your Love Looks Good On Me" from the Castaway's Karen Clayton and
the legendary Fantastic Shaker Bo Schronce. This remix is more dancer friendly and should give this song a much better opportunity
of making it into chart land. Track #13, "I Want A Real Love", was written by my good buddy
Gary Murchinson, and Gary Lowder does a great job with the vocals on this tune. Look for this one to get a lot of play around
the region. Track # 14 is one that I am particularly proud of. Tim Hildebrandt used Beachmusic45's promotional services to
release his song "South Of The Border" on our DJ Throwdown Sampler. With the song building momentum
and getting a lot of play around the Southeast, KHP Music decided to pick up this tune for their new compilation. It is amazing
what a little promotion can do for a song! "South Of The Border" was written by Tim, and with production
from the legendary Johnny Barker, this is one that you will want to add to your play list and collection!
"Let's Dance Again....I Can't Get Enough" continues the long string of fantastic compilations
released by KHP Music. With a strong mix of national and Carolina beach artists, look for "Let's Dance
Again" to spawn several more hits that make it on to The Smokin' 45!
KHP Music Releases Brand New Paul Craver CD!

KHP Music has released Paul Craver's new solo CD "The Emperor". The title
of the CD is related to Paul's mega hit "Emperor Of My Baby's Heart" which was on the chart for
many, many months and is still a favorite among DJ's today.
Also included on the CD is Paul's recent chart entry "(I'm Just A) Fool For You" and his current
chart entry "Girl I Love You" which is currently # 23 on The Smokin' 45, moving up 9 positions
this month!
The CD also includes a bonus track "I Could Be Your Everything" which was originally
released in 1984 when Paul was with the group Shagtime. Paul took the lead vocals on this classic cut and he dedicates
this special bonus track to "My Wife Gail, The Love Of My Life".
New tunes on the CD include: Paul's version of "A Hundred Pounds Of Clay", most recently charted
by Bobby Womack; "Love Won't Wait", originally done by Bobby Caldwell; "Let
It Be Me", a duet with Paul's long time duet partner Marlisa; one of my favorites on the CD "Feeling
Happy", an up tempo number originally done by Big Joe Turner that is sure to find favor with the dancers; Paul's latest
release "Blue Moon", which is starting to show up on some of the contributing DJ charts; "I'll Be There", originally recorded by Bobby Darin; Paul's version of the classic "Drinkin'
Wine Spo-Dee-O-Dee"; "River Stay Away From My Door", originally done
by Charlie Rich and done in a way by Paul that is sure to find favor with the dancers; and "Hey Girl",
another one of my favorites from the CD.
"The Emperor" was produced by KHP Music and Keith Houston with Paul serving as Executive Producer. A
"Who's Who" of players was used on the CD including John Barker - Keys and Arrangements, Mark Stallings - Arrangements, Ronnie
Waters, Jeff Grimes, Bobby Donaldson, and Chris Jennings on Guitars; Tim Gordon, Don Wise, Stephen Pachuta, and Jeff Grimes
on Horns and Saxophones; Tony Davis on Drums; and Background Vocals by Linda Little, Stephanie Sellers, Lateisha Boykin, Leslie
Simpson, John Barker, and Jeff Grimes.
"The Emperor" continues the smooth style we have come to expect from Paul, with a couple of
up beat numbers included for good measure. I expect several cuts from this oustanding collection of material to find their
way on to The Smokin' 45.
KHP Music's "Ready To Party" Dominating Chart!

The new KHP Music compilation "Ready To Party" was released during Spring
SOS, and seven songs from the compilation currently reside on The Smokin' 45!
"Doot Dootsie Wah" from Little Isidore, is still making a push for
the # 1 spot as it remains a solid # 2 this month! To say this song is hot would be an understatement! This song
is SMOKIN"!!! "Doot Dootsie Wah" broke out at DJ Throwdown, and then got a lot of play at SOS.
This song has quickly became a DJ favorite, and I expect it to continue to challenge for the # 1 position in the coming months!
"Help Yourself To
Me", from Rickey Godfrey, was released during DJ Throwdown, gained more momentum at SOS, and moves up 7
more positions this month to land inside the Top 10 at # 8! This original tune was written and produced by Rickey and
he has never sounded better!
Another tune from the compilation that is absolutely SMOKIN' is The Band Of Oz's terrific version of "Build Me Up", which debuted last month at # 23 and moves up 12 more positions
this month to # 11, earning it the distinction of HOT TRACK OF THE MONTH! Jerry West takes the lead on this
Al Green cover that is done in a way that is somewhat different from the original, but that is what makes a cover song
great!
"We're Tight" , the smokin' HOT duet from Angel Rissoff and Rhonda McDaniel debuted on The
Smokin' 45 last month at # 29, and it moves up 8 positions this month to land outside the Top 20 at # 21! Both of these
talented vocalists have never sounded better and I expect this tune to get serious consideration for Collaboration Of The
Year at The Carolina Beach Music Awards! Look for "We're Tight" to continue to march up The Smokin'
45!
Yet another tune from "Ready
To Party" that currently resides on The Smokin' 45 is "Mr. Zackary" from
The Taylor Manning Band, which debuted last month at # 42 and moves up 13 positions this month to # 29! Taylor and
her Dad, Doug Manning, recently put together a very talented band to back this incredible vocalist. For more
information on The Taylor Manning Band, visit www.taylormanningband.com where you will find a very accurate
description of the band: "four seasoned musicians and one very talented young female vocalist destined for stardom..."
Well said!
"Don't Ever Be Lonely" from Mark
Roberts and Breeze debuts this month on the Smokin' 45 at # 40, giving the compilation it's 6th tune on the chart! This is
a song that I thought would chart much sooner as Mark and the guys do a FANTASTIC job on this Cornelius Brothers and Sister
Rose tune. Now that it is on the chart, look for it to move right on up!
"10 Pounds Of Party" from The Fabulous Kays, a song that was originally
released on Beachmusic45's 2009 DJ Throwdown Sampler is included on "Ready To Party" and it debuts
on the chart this month at # 43, giving the compilation it's 7th tune on the chart! "10 Pounds Of Party"
is a fun tune with TERRIFIC horn arrangements, as is typical with The Fabulous Kays. It is great to have these guys gack on
the charts!
"Ready To Party" is another great compilation from KHP Music, with every song having
a legitimate chance to crack The Smokin' 45 including: the smokin' title track "Ready To Party"
from Lonne Givens, "See You Later" from Vicki Skinner, "You Ain't Got
No Sense" from King Tyrone and The Graveyard Ramblers, "'Til You Come Back To Me"
from The Magnificents Band, "I've Got The World On A String" from The Out Of Towners Band, "She Pulled The Trigger" from Bobby Smith, and "Miss Annie" from Kenny Vance
and The Planotones.
Don't be surprised if a number of these other tunes start to make noise on The Smokin' 45! "Ready
To Party" continues the tradition of excellence set by KHP MUsic and is a MUST for your CD collection!
Entertainers To Release Brand New CD!

Earl Dawkins and The Entertainers will soon release "The
Entertainers – The Inside Story". The 15-song album could be called
The Entertainers – Their Greatest Hits, as nine of the selections have been previously recorded. Of the original songs, look for "Here We Go Again", a number penned by Tim Cashion. There is also an original written by Doug Manning, "Thank Goodness
She Cheated", which is on the verge of charting on The Smokin' 45.
Of the covers on the album, you will find
a medley of the classics, "Got To Be Mellow and Stubborn Kind Of Fellow", as well as a shag version
of The Beatles’ "Because". The Entertainers do a great job with "The
Girl I Love". The song was originally recorded by “The First Family
of Soul”, The Five Stairsteps.
You may have already heard about one of
these rerecorded songs by The Entertainers. The soulful "Me
& Mrs. Jones", penned and originally recorded by Billy Paul, was introduced at Deejay Throwdown. Other songs on the release you will recognize are "Groovin’" and "They Say The Girl’s Crazy".
The Entertainers, founded by Earl Dawkins,
scored their first hit in 1980 with "Livin’ For The Summer", a song that propelled the group
to the forefront of Beach Music. At the Third Annual Beach Music Awards in 1988, The Entertainers were nominated for “Group
of the Year” and “Single of the Year”. The group’s second
album, "Don’t Let Your Love Grow Cold” won “Album of the Year” honors. In 1995, The Entertainers won “Group Vocalist of the Year” at The Cammy
Awards. "The Entertainers –
The Inside Story" is destined to be an album classic.
