Little Willie Littlefield &
The Jivin’ Jewels
"Old Time
Feeling” Released Sept. 12, 2008 Stormy Monday Records
Here’s
a great CD from a cat you’ve probably never heard. Little Willie's first recording came in 1949 and this 77 year
old is still going strong. “Old Time Feeling” has just the right sound for our dancers. A great version of “One Scotch, One Bourbon, One Beer”
leads off with a slower boppin’ blues beat that is in the pocket for some of our dancers. My favorite is “Happy
Payday”, which is a little faster and just cooks with a sound you can not get out of your head. “Blue and Lonesome
“ is another cooker that I think will fill the floor.
“Roomin’ House Boogie”
& “New Pinetop’s Boogie Woogie” will get the fast dancers going. There is plenty more good standard
blues among the 14 cuts. I’m sure you will be pleased with the whole CD. Available through ITunes and Amazon.
