Here’s a great compilation that is aiming at the Bopper and Shagger and hits a bulls eye on both. Nine songs that can be called Boppin’ Blues and six for the Shagger, and one for the belly rubber in all of us! Standout songs are the two David Foster cuts. For the shaggers, there’s “Powerful Stuff’ The slow shag style that is widely popular at the beach. Great vocals and great production makes this cut a standout. The other is a powerful remake of “What A Life”. Terrific cut for the boppers, it also works for the shagger as well. Might even pull the WCS dancer to the floor. Great backbeat and great vocals. Also, “Bye Bye Baby” by Nappy Brown is welcomed back and sounds great. You’ll also find Snooky Pryor, Maurice Williams, Leon Daniels, Kenny “Blues Boss” Wayne, Mark Roberts, and many others.
