The
second project from new label Tobacco Road Records has been released in time for SOS and in my opinion, offers a selection
of tunes that surpasses their first release. The Summerdaze Band out of Tega Cay, SC kicks things off with "Someone's Gonna
Fall In Love" and it's one of my picks to be a hit. Produced by Freddy Tripp, the guys in the band and Cassie Kessler (who
sings lead on this cut) have outdone themselves. The Sand Band & Terri Gore team up with a great version of "Forever
And A Day". Terri's voice blends so well with Henryl Baldwin's and the song is great for radio as well as club play. I've
been playing the title track from The Fabulous Shades for a few months and it's getting more popular every day. Doug Winstead
contributes an awesome belly rubbing version of The Embers' classic, "Far Away Places". Steve Owens shows his gritty side
with "A Much Better Place" and the Out-of-Towners Band are rocking with "Irene". The Entertainers have another potential
hit with "I Think It's Love". The already popular "Come Back Girl" from Rev. Bubba & The CHP is found here as
well as "I Will Never" - Hot Dog Daddy-O's; "Without You Girl" - Jerry Shooter; "I Thought It Was You" - Rickie
Fox & Scott Frazier; "You Are Like Sunshine" - EL.. Smith Band and last but definitely not least, The Vicki
Skinner Band with "What My Baby Needs Now (Is A Little More Lovin'". There is little doubt you will be hearing these tunes
in the clubs as well as on radio.
